I have this dryer since Sept, 22nd 2018. the first two months it work well until the dryer started to turn on and off with no reason. Starting looking for support in the manual and website to troubleshoot. I don't do laundry every day but the dryer turns on and off everyday just the sound not actual drying. called whirlpool to get a technician to look at it. they troubleshoot over the phone and mentioned is a setting that i should not be using (wrinkle sensor should be off - dont ask me why it would even have this feature if im not suppose to use it) the problem continue happening, called again and now i was able to get a technician to come. he showed up outside of the window of the appointment and spent most of the time with a technician on the phone. told me everything was OK and that he reset it so I should not experience the issue. 2 days later decided to use it and after that turning on/off started again, when t the dryer was not in use. The frequency increased on how many times during the day it will turn on/off. I called whirlpool again and now they want to charge me for the technician to come back as it is my problem. the dryer has many features and super fancy/smart but i guess the mother board is not robust or program appropriately to support the functionality. Here I am memorizing a manual and spending way too many hours on getting a dryer to function properly. I would not recommend this dryer as it has technical issue and the whirlpool technician dont have the "know how" to troubleshoot or fix. they are behaving like robots with an inability to think. the answers i've received why this is happening are outrages and not well thought out. PLEASE DONT BUY THIS DRYER it will not perform. I also wanted to highlight that all the review that have 4 starts have been incentivized by whirlpool, so not a reliable review from a consumers as they received something from the company to get a 4 star review.

This review is less about the dryer since I am still not able to use it, and more about Whirlpool/Maytag and Homedepot.com collectively. The appliance was damaged during installation. The installer over-tightened the screws holding the dryer to the pedestal causing the dryer to buckle. Clearly the installer knew he did this since he pushed the dryer tight against the wall so I couldn't see until after he left. Whirlpool/Maytag and Homedepot.com have collectively passed the buck on who is responsible. Allegedly Whirlpool/Maytag is responsible to replace the damaged dryer, and we're going on more than three weeks and two missed appointments and I still have no dryer and no resolution in sight. The pedestal is apparently Home Depot's responsibility despite being delivered by a representative of Whirlpool/Maytag. I have made 3 trips to Home Depot to get the pedestal replaced. The pedestal is allegedly coming in three days, but I still have no dryer to place upon it. Neither party is accepting responsibility, apparently at some point in the future I will get a new dryer, but it's not entirely clear when since every time I call Home Depot to check the status, I get placed on hold for 45 minutes while they contact a representative from Maytag and then I get disconnected. Completely regret buying Whirlpool, they can't even stand behind the delivery of their product. Without question this will be our last Whirlpool or Maytag appliance.

It does a good job of drying and preventing wrinkles, but the steam feature doesn't seem to generate enough steam, and the drum has no light, which I didn't know before purchasing, and would have affected my purchase decision had I known.

Our dryer is a month old. Making loud noises and taking very long to dry. Called our retailer and they sent a service tech over. Turns out we need a new computer board and rollers. So glad we took out an insurance policy on the dryer. Not thrilled with this!!

I bought this about 1 1/2 months ago as our old dryer stopped working (~15-20 yrs old). Our washer was a front loader. The dryer was just a regular old dryer that could not handle the drying capacity of the clothes from the washer, so I had to dry 1/2 a load at a time. That got old really quick.
Very happy with new dryer as it can now handle the amount of clothes from the washer. Whirlpool has been our brand of choice for years!

This dryer is easy to use and has just enough options for drying. Some I've seen are very complicated with so many combinations, but this one is right on target and the jobs it has done so far are excellent. Also, it seems to dry clothes, towels and blankets much faster than my old one did.
