So far so good.. was a purchase to replace a 2yr old Whirlpool top loader that has been a problem from day one. Manufactures try to complicate things that should be left alone… hence the Speed Queen.. great, simple quality like it should be. When the matching dryer goes out, I'm buying the Speed Queen to replace it as well.

So far so good … I've only had them for 2 months. We picked Speed Queen because through the years we have gone through 4 sets of washers and dryers. Speed Queen was recommended because of the quality. Plus Speed Queen is made in the USA.

When we bought our home several years ago, a Speed Queen washer and dryer set was included. Based on the documents we had, that set was many many years old. They eventually reached end of life and needed to be replaced. We went the cheap route and purchased used on the digital marketplace. Long story short, we went through 3 washers in 5 years. Growing tired of this situation, we decided to just bite the bullet and purchase a new Speed Queen washer and dryer set.
They are fabulous - very quiet and gets the job done. A bit pricey - but as we found out, you get what you pay for, and the manufacturer warranty is also top of the line. We'll never need to purchase another washer and dryer set. I have no doubt that this Speed Queen set will still be working for the next owners of our home.

I was looking for a washing machine that simply just cleans the clothes. Who needs 24 wash settings and all the fancy buttons that really don't do anything. Don't we all just want clean clothes done easily and efficiently? This machine does that! Simple to use and runs quiet. Plus it doesn't move around when spinning out the clothes.

Quite operation, clean clothes. One wish, that they would put a MEDIUM size load on load selection. Bought a Matag and my clothes came out smelly, not enough water to properly clean them and got rid of it asap to buy your fabulous machine!

This washer is very well built. While it is running, nothing sounds loose and the machine stays put, instead of walking off its position. The stainless steel tub, the body of the machine, even the feet are one solid piece of equipment.

I'm disappointed with the fabric softener dispenser. It is not operating correctly. Instead of mixing in with the water, it is throwing it on the clothes and discoloring them. Would have purchased a different product.

Only been a few months. Let's see how long it last our Maytag only 5 yrs 1 month . Speed Queen machine isn't as big ( tub wise) and not as many wash options . Wash seems Good on Heavy Rinse again cycle We have friends that own S-Q machines. They seem happy with them. Only time will tell

I have a dream of a washing machine that has only a single button: START. I call this invention "The Washing Manchine", and it is virtually impossible for a man to be "in Dutch with the wife" as a result of helping with the laundry. Having only one button, if the clothes aren't properly cleaned, it can only be the machine's fault. Unfortunately, this product does not exist, but Speed Queen's washers are about as close as I can get to fulfilling this dream. I love the old school dial selectors, but to be honest, I don't mess with words I don't understand, like "Delicate" and "Perm Press". I stick with settings that make sense to a man: "Cold" - Hot water is for coffee, not laundry; "Large" - There's no point in running a load if the tub isn't full of clothes; "Normal" - Yes, please wash my clothes normally; "Start" - This button tells the machine to do the laundry. Speed Queen, if you are listening, I love our new TR5003WN, but the 1-button Washing Manchine is waiting for you to bring sanity and simplicity to the laundry appliance market. A sub-$1,000 Speed Queen washer would dominate the competition.

Not only is this machine quiet. It handles a large load of clothes with ease. The auto fill setting is great, load the clothes the machine figures out the amount of water. A real no brainer! The extra cost of this machine was a bit troublesome but after using it foe a few weeks its worth every penny !!

I'm very pleased with the TR5003WN. In hindsight I may have upgraded to the TR7003 but this washer meets all my needs. The only change I would make is to have a louder end of cycle buzzer - it's very difficult to hear and not adjustable (or may have it play a nice little tune).

Nice machine but a few things I'm NOT a fan of.(1) Water will not fill when the lid is up and I like to rinse out my soap cup dispenser while it's filling. (2)You cannot add anything to the machine after the cycle has started. (3) There are very limited options as far as extra rinse, extra spin, etc. I like to be in charge of exactly how my laundry is done. It almost seems that the machine is telling me "I KNOW WHAT'S BEST" and I really don't like that.

Had LG washer and dryer. Washer broke after 1.5years - not fixable per LG. Went to Appliance store and asked for something that will never break. Recommended Speed Queen which I had already investigated online based on my time at the laundromat and was thinking about. Bought both the washer and dryer. They are simple and they work and with a 5 year warranty. Clothes are cleaner than ever and always dry! I expect it to keep working for years - no more laundromat!!

The machine is very solid. It is quiet while washing and spinning. And very easy to use. We especially like the auto fill and second rinse options. It is very quick for the whole wash cycle and the spin is so good that the dryer cycle is shorter too. Really pleased we made this purchase.

Haven't even had my TR5 a month and it's already stopped working in the middle of a wash! The "wash and rinse" started flashing. Would not drain - and there is no manual DRAIN button. Had to wring my clothes out by hand and get a hose to syphon the disgusting stinky water out (after 2 days of unsuccessfully trying to find the fix). Ended up calling warranty dept which sent out a tech a week later, only to discover (again!) it won't drain! He has to order parts, which I'm waiting to hear when they will be in b/c they can't schedule him to come back out until they arrive - so I'm already w/out a washer for 2 weeks now, guessing it will end up being 3 or 4 weeks. Family of five. Not fun and not happy. Sales rep (Fred) whom I purchased from did not respond to my email or return my call when I left a message! Very frustrating.

We like our new Speed Queen washer because it wrings out the clothes much better than our 40 year old Maytag did. Consequently, the drying time is much less. One disadvantage is that it take longer to wash a load of clothes but I think it washes them better.

We were extremely disappointed with front and top loading washers from other manufacturers. There were smell and out of balance issues that frustrated my wife every time she washed clothes. Mine 2 year old Speed Queen occassionally overflowed. Manual says using too much detergent can cause this. That didn't seem right. I thought it was a drain clog. Before calling a plumber, I decided to look at the amount of detergent used. Ours, All Clear and Free He, says on the All measuring cap:levels 2-4 depend on how dirty the clothes. We never used more than level 2. I had heard from others you only really need 2 tbs which is Level 1 on All detergent. Started using Level 1. Haven't had an overflow since and the clothes seem as clean as ever. I hope I saved you a call for service.
