I got this unit last year for a backup as my through the wall unit was making noise the install was very easy through the wall I only had to frame in the wall a bit the sleeve was very easy and pre- drilled to install it took maybe 1 hour total to shim the wall and install the unit plugged it in and WOW!!!!! this A/C makes really cold air I have a bi-level 1950 SF and it takes care of the hole house very comfortable the unit is very quite for its size and the remote with the built in thermostat is just the best thing iv ever used all in all id give this unit a 10 out of 10 and just so you know this is a true review Im a big guy I like it cold in my home I keep the unit at 66 and its 67- 68 in my house chilly but nice for me if you need a GOOD bigger /C unit buy this one its one of the best for a great price

I use this unit thru the wall in my basement. This is my third or fourth Frigidaire unit like this in the last 40 yrs. Pulled the old one out, Put in the new container and unit, fit exactly like the old one, no mods required, plugged it in, perfect. Never had a failure in all those years. Last one I replaced was still running but finally low on freon.

So what can I say about this blizzard making beast, other than the obvious fact that it keeps my WHOLE house icy cold? Haven't really found a downside yet - there has been an increase in my electric bill - but that's pretty much common sense - 220v will of course quite obviously cost more to run than 110v, but following the recommendations of your electric company and using the Econ function should help you stay within budget. Given the fact that "this old house" was built in the mid 1950's I have no pre-existing duct work so this was definitely the more cost effective option for me. I have had a great experience with Frigidaire products/services in the past. My best advice would be to look into this product, do research and read reviews to make sure this is the best option for you, there are many sizes of window units - depending on what you need there might be different options for you.

Installed this thru the wall in my 3 car garage and it cools it better than expected, have only had it for a few months but here in Lake Havasu City AZ there have already been days over 100 and with the auto thermostat feature the unit cycles off and on automatically to keep the desired temp and doesn't have to run continously.
