I bought about a month ago, and so far am very pleased. Bought from a local dealer, received a good price, and they delivered promptly and professionally. The only issue is that it is difficult to open the door (at least for my wife). Not sure why ... seems the seal is very tight. If not for that, I'd give 5 stars. I would recommend.

Bought to replace an older dying freezer in the garage. The seal on the door is excellent. The seal is so tight that sometimes we move the whole freezer slightly just trying to open. Also really like the power indicator light at the bottom.

This freezer has been used for about three months at this point. It's doing its job well, and my electric bill has not gone up any noticeable amount even though it is only 1/4 full. It's huge- bigger than the fridge. HOWEVER, I really hate the sounds it makes when the condenser is running. It's noticeably loud, so much so that I notice it every time it turns on if the house is not buzzing with a TV or conversation. I recommend putting it far away from the dining area and probably in the basement.

Bought this at HD on black friday with military discount. First delivery was damaged. Took me like 2 months to actually receive it. I've had it running for about two months now no issues. The shelves do not move and the freezer element runs through the shelves. That was a plus for me as I feel it makes them more sturdy and I can really load them up with game meat. Added a $20 freezer alarm from amazon and can't complain for a basic freezer. The light is nice in this as well.

Good/Great Value, Solid Build

Purchased about a month ago to replace a much older, manual defrost, 13 cu. ft. unit that became inoperable after water-damage. We up-sized to this 17.4 cu ft because at the sale price was only incrementally more expensive than Frigidaire's 14.4 cu ft upright unit, making this one a great value. One of the few units with manual defrost that's better for long-term food storage. Solid build, with a sturdy, comfortable door handle, impressive door seal, nice white finish and surface texturing. Plastic grill below the door is a bit flimsy especially at the hinge side. Like the interior light, wish it was LED but in reality unimportant for the amount of use. Door shelving has very good capacity and each has enough room for 5 one-quart food storage containers with room to spare. Like the green power-on pilot light mounted on the front. Unit is generally quiet but does make some gurgling noises when it cycles off, but since this will eventually go into the basement that's of little concern to us as long as that's normal and not an indication of a potential problem(?). This is our 2nd major Frigidaire appliance, the other being a gloss-top double oven range we've had for a couple years. We like the overall styling and functionality of their appliances so far. Also appreciate them being built in USA.

Basic but good

This freezer doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it does the job well. The only thing it is missing is a basket for the bottom, but the basket from my old freezer fit perfectly, so I'm using it. The seal is super tight and we have had no problems after using it for about a month.
