We bought this freezer about a month ago because the refrigerator-freezer in our apartment doesn't stay cold enough to keep food safely frozen. This freezer is small enough to fit at the end of the breakfast bar without taking up too much floor space, and lightweight enough to slide out for sweeping and mopping around it. It's been a good purchase, and we're now confident that our food is staying frozen until ready to use.

So I purchased the freezer, a refrigerator and 2 ac units from Handy Tv and appliance. First 2 days having the refrigerator the fan went out on me and lost everything inside. Now I am noticing the freezer is freezing over in one corner on the top near the lid and it rocks on the floor. very unlevel. The 15000 btu does great except it sounds like the fan is hitting something inside. The 5000 btu I wanted with a cut off thermostat did not get delivered but I have one that does not have the thermostat. I feel this is a good brand but the dealer sux. I understand they can fix things but good grief everything is screwed up.

I am incredibly pleased with this product. Initially, I intended to buy a 7 sq. ft, chest freezer, but when I saw this product I knew it would fit perfectly in the space I had planned. And it holds a lot of food in a neat manner than is easy to reach.

I purchased this small chest freezer as a supplement to the small refrigerator freezer that my apartment came with. The size is perfect for two people and it fits in a tight space very well. I noticed some frost building at the top edge where the lid and the cavity meet but the manual says this is normal. It's small enough that I can scrape it off with my fingernail easily and it usually takes about a week to be noticeable. If I was going to complain about anything it would be that either the basket that comes with this freezer unit needs to be much wider, or it would be great if it came with a second one. In the grand scheme of things, that is incredibly minor. I can open my refrigerator freezer now and blocks of frozen food don't fall on my poor feet!

My wife and I rent apartments. We needed something small to put frozen food in, due to freezers on apartment fridge is to small. You put a bag of ice and a couple of other things in and it™™s full. You can not take advantage of meat sales or what not without more space. This Frigidaire chest freezer is perfect. Even if we had a good size freezer on the fridge, this would still be a great freezer to put more frozen stuffs in. And it™™s so quite you can not hear it. Awesome! Would recommend to anyone. Of course size may differ for how many you feed and store. One thing for sure. Fridgidare is the best name in fridgeration. They make a lot of fridgeration for a lot of companies on the market. We had to buy some ac units one time. The same thing with those. We were very happy with those as well. So why not just buy the best right off. We did. And we are very happy we did.

I received this as a gift and turned it on the first week in January. It looks nice, its very quiet, and the build seems pretty solid. Its not very energy efficient, no adjustable feet and after just 2 months on the lowest "cold setting" I've already got a decent frost build up and its not overloaded by any means. Overall its your average chest freezer, it'll do the job just fine.
